  • Ginger Gold: Early apple with firm flesh.  Mild Flavor, Bakes very well...holds shape in pies and recommended for chunky applesauce.
  • JonaMac: Tart apples with more flavor than a Macintosh.  Great for apple sauce and pies. Cooks down like a Mac.
  • Gala: Excellent for eating...great flavor.  We offer Buckeye and Fulford varieties

About Us

  • Steffenino Orchard was started by John, Martha and Isabella Steffenino in 2004.
  • Plantings were done on a surface mine site reclaimed in 2000 by the State of PA using Super Fund Money.
  • The orchard features 4500 apple and pear trees planted on 15 acres.  Two ponds are used to supply water for spraying and irrigation.
  • Inpiration for the orchard

  • Inpiration for the orchard was provided by Jack and Betty Steffenino who had a 1 acre orchard behind the homestead that featured apples, pears, plums, chestnuts and cherries. 
  • Our goal is to take the time and effort to assure an excellent product at a fair price

The orchard is located 15 minutes from Indiana on Route 286 West, 45 minutes from Greensburg and 45 minutes from Monroeville.

Use caution when traveling from Indiana as left turns are not permitted into the orchard.  Please drive to the bottom of the hill and use Hancock Road on the right as a turn around.
